Terrapin Capital Advisors is the advisory practice of Alex Jackson, who has spent more than three decades investing in and managing leveraged credit, including broadly syndicated loans and CLOs, in the United States and Europe.

He founded and served as Chief Investment Officer of Nassau Corporate Credit, a leveraged credit manager with roughly $5 billion under management. Before that, he built the CLO platform at Cutwater Asset Management, and served as Deputy Chief Investment Officer and original portfolio manager at CIFC Asset Management, where he oversaw approximately $10 billion across 33 CLOs.

That experience spans credit selection, portfolio construction, financing and structuring, and the regulatory frameworks — the Investment Company Act, NAIC/SVO guidelines, SSAP 26/30, and ERISA plan-asset rules — that govern how insurers and other regulated investors hold leveraged credit.
